The emerging field of financial technology (FinTech) is completely transforming how we store, save, borrow, invest, move, spend and protect money. Banking, financial services, and the insurance sectors are getting disrupted by the new FinTech startups. The increasing internet penetration and smartphone ownership, and the rise of emerging technologies are shaking the very foundation of the incumbent financial services players. In India, the recent demonetization effort and the drive towards a cashless economy have increased the awareness of and the desire to understand digital finance better.
This course will demystify FinTech and cover a wide array of topics such as digital payment solutions, peer-to-peer lending, and big data analytic applications in banking and financial services, crowd-sourcing, robo-advisory services, goal-based investing, block-chain technology, and digital currencies, and more.
